Are
the dogs left alone when playing?
The dogs are constantly supervised while playing.
Inappropriate play is stopped and good behavior is rewarded. We
keep dogs safe, clean and well cared for.
Where does my dog go to the bathroom?
We have an outdoor area which is free access for
the dogs. It has a stone area for this purpose. If dogs go anywhere
else, it is cleaned immediately.
What about dog fights?
The key is prevention. We do not accept aggressive
dogs. Our interview process screens for aggression. If an accepted
dog exhibits unacceptable behavior, the dog is given a time out
and the owner will be informed of the concern. We will then work
with the owner to resolve the problem or the dog will be removed
from the daycare.
What if my dog fails the interview or is evicted
from daycare?
This may happen. We strive to do what's best for
all dogs. Just because your dog may fail the interview, it does
not mean you don't have a wonderful dog, it just means that dog
daycare may not be a good match with your dog. This unique environment
may be too overwhelming for your dog. Some dogs may just need a
little training and socialization before coming to daycare.
What if my dog is shy?
If your dog is shy, don't worry. All first timers
go through an orientation process so they can meet all dogs one on
one first. This helps them to adjust.
What about food?
Dogs are not given any food, just plenty of water.
Dogs should be fed prior to drop off or after pick up.
Do I bring toys?
Please do not bring toys for your dog to play with in daycare.
What about a collar and leash?
All dogs must be on a collar and leash to enter the daycare.
We will remove all of your dogs collars when entering the play area
to prevent collars from getting caught up during play. Please
remove flea collars before bringing your dog.
What about naptime?
All dogs are required to take a nap starting
between 3 and 3:30 until they are picked up.
This will help to ensure they do not become overtired and cranky
while at play. We also allow dogs to nap in the play area if they
feel a need to take a break.
What if my dog gets injured or becomes sick?
If this occurs, you will be notified immediately
if the problem is severe. If the problem is minor, you will be notified
when you pick up your dog. If vet care is needed, depending on severity,
we will transport your dog to your own vet or utilize ours (we use
Chippens Hills Veterinary Hospital).
All medical costs will be assumed by YOU. Please refer to the Pet
Profile for more details.
